Amino Acids Gaba

What specifically does the amino acid GABA do, and how is it administered?

GABA is an amino acid that acts as a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. It is essential for brain metabolism, aiding in proper brain function. GABA is formed in the body from another amino acid, glutamic acid. Its function is to decrease neuron activity and inhibit nerve cells from overfiring. Together with niacinamide and inositol, it prevents anxiety and stress-related messages from reaching the motor centers of the brain by occupying their receptor sites.

GABA can be taken to calm the body in much the same way as Valium and Librium and other tranquilizers, but without the fear of addiction. GABA is effective in treating attention deficit disorder.

Too much GABA, however, can cause increased anxiety, shortness of breath, numbness around the mouth, and tingling in the extremities.

If you type in your search bar “GABA dosage” you will get all sort of sites and information about the recommended daily allowance, RDA, and the different forms it comes in. Good Luck!

Amino Acids Bonding

Biology help. please!!?

Proteins are chains of amino acids bonded together. which is the correct sequence for creating proteins?
A) Information in DNA is formed into protein directly.
B) Informaton in RNA uses thermal energy to create protein
C) Information in RNA mutates into DNA and is made into protien
D) Information in DNA is transfered into RNA and is made into proteiin

i would say it’s D. Beacuse DNA undergo transcription into single stranded RNA. Then the mRNA goes out from the nucleus to the cytoplasm and gets attached to the bigger unit of the ribosome. And translation begins. And complementary base codons of tRNA to the RNA strand attaches itself to the smaller unit of the ribosomes. At the end of the tRNA, an acid is attached to it.
So as the ribosome travels along the mRNA, the 2nd tRNA will attached itself to the next 3 codons, and at the same time a peptide bond will form between the amino acid at the end of the tRNA.

if u dont understand u can check out the video. it’s very good and interesting!
all the best
